The Master of Computer Science, option “Information and Communication Science and Technology” is a scientific education at the graduate level for academic and professional purposes. This formation aims at the professional integration of graduates in terms of the development and management of ICT projects. This domain covers all the IT design and development tasks that enable a company to perform well. The overall objective is to enable candidates with an academic or professional master’s degree to be able to solve the optimization problems of all kinds of management within an organization (vehicle touring, vehicle routing, mobile phone frequency assignments, resource management, planning, etc.). The first year (M1) is a year of common core curriculum where the basic fundamental concepts of computer science and mathematics will be provided. The teaching allows students to be trained by specifying aspects related to systems and networks as well as a methodology for designing any type of complex system. An internship in a company, mandatory for the professional master’s degree depending on the possibilities offered, prepares students for professional life or in the laboratory for academic life. In the second year, there will be two master options:
Academic Master’s degree in ICST for scientific research
Professional Master’s degree in ICTS for the labour market
The Master’s degree in Computer Science is an introduction and in-depth study of both the practical and fundamental aspects of the computer science discipline in information and communication science and technology. The teaching focuses on problem modeling and program design activity, emphasizing the need for a rigorous methodology. The examples and studies proposed also make it possible to broaden the perception of the discipline. Thus, all students graduating from the university’s ICST academic Master’s degree will have acquired basic knowledge in computer science and will have become aware of the material and intellectual problems that are part of the field of computer science and information and communication science and technology.

Sectors :
Teacher-researcher
IT Project Manager
The IT project manager is involved from the study phase: he must define the client’s needs, the time required to complete the project and the budget to be allocated. Then he writes the specifications and forms the team in charge of the project. His role then focuses more specifically on the monitoring of deadlines, as well as on respecting the budget and quality. He is responsible on a daily basis for the progress of the project. Once the project is completed, he or she participates in its implementation and may be called upon to manage improvements.
IT Developer
If the core of a developer’s mission is programming, i.e. the production of lines of code, he also carries out other less well-known missions. Indeed, before carrying out the different parts of a programme, under the guidance of a project manager, he participates in the analysis of the needs of the users of the programme. And once the program is completed, it can be tested and debugged to ensure optimal use. Finally, he is also called upon to train users or carry out maintenance operations.
Database Administrator
A database is like a gigantic library that gathers all the useful data of a company (customer addresses, stock status, prices, documentary collections, etc.). The role of the administrator is then to install, configure and manage these databases, in order to ensure optimal use, guaranteeing the quality of the system and constant accessibility to information.
Network administrator
The network administrator is responsible for the proper functioning of all the company’s networks and telecommunications. It may thus have to create a network and choose the equipment according to the budget allocated and the needs of users. Once the network is complete, he is responsible for its proper functioning and optimization: he can, for example, integrate a new messaging system, new antivirus software…
Safety engineer
With the development of data exchanges, it is now necessary to protect vital business information against viruses, user errors, external intrusion, etc. To do this, the security engineer assesses the level of vulnerability of the company’s information systems in order to propose the appropriate security procedures. It limits access to the network in the event of strategic information, backs up, stores data and regularly ensures that the network is flawless.
