The license of  Computer Science, option “Information and Communication Science and Technology” is a scientific education at the graduate level for professional purposes. This training aims at the professional integration of graduates in terms of the development and management of ICT projects (Internet sites, Intranet, Web TV, CD Rom…).

This field covers several specializations: web designer/developer, Internet graphic designer, webmaster, multimedia graphic designer, web or multimedia design engineer. The overall objective is to enable licensed candidates to be able to solve the problems of an organization’s ICST.

The first year is a year of common core curriculum where the basic fundamental concepts of computer science and mathematics will be provided. The second and third year courses provide students with training by specifying aspects related to information systems and information and communication technology. An internship in a company prepares students for professional life.

The STIC license allows students to build up a solid capital of knowledge and skills appropriate to any IT profession accessible at a bachelor level or to any pursuit of studies in a Master’s degree in IT. The ICST licensee shall perform his duties within companies in the IT sector or in companies in other sectors integrating an IT service. He develops his skills in the following functions:

1. The development of computer applications: he participates in the drafting of specifications, analysis and then specification of the application. It carries out the follow-up and the evolutionary and corrective maintenance. It must be able to implement algorithms, choose a programming language and use it, develop test protocols, design a database, design a human-machine interface.

2. IT operation and maintenance: it is responsible for the proper functioning of existing architectures, and participates in the development of commissioning projects and the management of IT and network assets. He must be able to perform the following tasks:

Ensure IT operation and maintenance.
Install, configure and implement an operating system.
Install and troubleshoot equipment. Install software, applications and perform tests.
Use the Internet for specific applications.
Access remote databases.
Manage a network and a web server taking into account security constraints.
Write technical documentation.
Ability to write in French and technical English. Know how to communicate.
