Presentation

The objective of the Mathematics/Computer Science (MI) Common Core is to provide a common basic formation for all the Branches (2nd cycle formation) that are: Information Systems (SI), Software Engineering (GL), Information Technology (TI), and Computer Science (SIC) and does not specifically prepare for any of them. For this reason, it was given the name of Common Core.

To summarize, the computer license is built around these three elements:

  1. In the first year, the student learns the basic concepts of computer science: Algorithmics and Data Structure, Machine Structure, two Programming Languages (C and JAVA) and ICT components.
  2. In the second year, we will focus on consolidating the basic concepts of IT: Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Advanced Data Structures, Advanced Object Programming. In addition, the introduction of the specialties is discussed: Introduction to Databases, Introduction to Software Engineering, Introduction to Information Systems, Communications and Networks.
  3. The third year is reserved for the advanced specialization of the different disciplines.

It can take various forms at the initiative of each subject manager: intermediate examinations, lectures, practical work, projects… and generally final examinations.
Each subject is assigned a credit value and a coefficient. The aim of this system is to give greater transparency to curricula and to promote mobility.
